Alum-a-Lift serves customers who range in size from large multi-national corporations to local single-site operations, spanning 20 different industry groups. Founded in 1989, Alum-a-Lift’s years of experience provide a comprehensive background in material handling, manufacturing, and custom lift design. Offered are turnkey, process integrated solutions for producing custom lifting devices for material handling and assembly challenges of every type.
Alum-a-Lift, Inc. is headquartered in Winston, GA, 30 miles west of Atlanta. A 25,000 square foot state-of-the art facility is home to Alum-a-Lift’s design and manufacturing operations. Alum-a-Lift maintains a global network of factory trained representatives. Responsible not only for sales, these agents are available for on-site discussion, troubleshooting, and support.
Alum-a-Lift’s manufacturing capabilities include manual and CNC milling and turning, waterjet cutting, certified welding, sheet metal rolling and bending, inspection, assembly, wiring, testing, and real-time process tracking on a per-piece and per-work cell basis.
Design work is performed by a team of degreed mechanical engineers who use AutoCAD for proposals and drawing transmission and SolidWorks for modeling and FEA. Complete CAD data is proliferated throughout the manufacturing work centers, allowing every member of the build team to see how their component interacts with the completed system.
Projects may consist of a single custom lift to multiple lifting devices or lifting systems. Over 12,000 ergonomic lifting devices are in use in more than 50 countries worldwide. Clients regularly utilize Alum-a-Lift as a resource when they are seeking lifting equipment for material handling challenges, back injury prevention and eliminating manual material handling.
Current and future clients are always welcome to tour the factory and demo material handling lifts that are currently in production. Because every project is unique, interesting opportunities for hands-on trials of ergo lifting equipment are always available.
