DIN 11864 was developed for stainless steel fittings for aseptics, chemicals and pharmaceuticals. It is subdivided into the following sections:
DIN 11864-1: Aseptic pipe screw connections
DIN 11864-2: Aseptic flange connections
DIN 11864-3: Aseptic clamp connections
The aseptic connections are manufactured as normal versions, with an A-shaped insert for an O-ring.
DIN 11853 was developed for stainless steel fittings for food and chemicals. It is subdivided into the following sections:
DIN 11853-1: Hygienic pipe screw connections
DIN 11853-2: Hygienic flange connections
DIN 11853-3: Hygienic clamp connections
The aseptic connections are manufactured as normal versions, with an A-shaped insert for an O-ring.
Aseptic and hygienic connections are compatible, but differ in the axial length, materials available and the range (blank parts are only available as DIN 11853 versions). Connections are supplied as standard for pipe dimensions to DIN 11866 series A, B and C.
AWH aseptic and hygienic connections are certified per 3-A Sanitary Standard 63-03. We also offer O-rings from materials which meet the requirements of the 3-A Sanitary Standard 18-00.
