Hall sensors – Contactless and wear-free detection
Bare your teeth by monitoring of rotational, speed monitoring and acquisition of part location
Thanks to their high switching frequency of up to 20 kHz, Hall sensors are preferred for the detection of rapidly rotating gear wheels. On account of their high resolution, gears can be reliably detected from a module size of only 1 upwards.
Thanks to two phase-shifted signals, they can detect not only speed but also rotational direction. Special versions have been developed specially for detecting the rotational speed of rail vehicles, for example to prevent the wheels from slipping or blocking. They meet the strict railway standards and guarantee a high degree of safety.
Since Hall sensors do not have any moving mechanical elements whatsoever, wear is reduced to a minimum and service life is extended considerably. In their fully enclosed metal housings, our Hall sensors are ideal for use in dirty, damp or oily environments.
