Also known as pigtails, use a siphon tube to protect non-sanitary pressure gauges from the effects of rapid pressure surges and steam and high-temperature fluids. Also use siphons whenever condensing hot vapors (not just steam) are present. Add water to the tube to make a protective barrier between your gauge and process media.
