The EcoFlot unit consists of a trolley with a pressurizing/feed pump, a saturation unit, an electric control panel and a gas delivery/regulation system. Floatation is achieved with nitrogen or air.
The machine is suitable for pumping over and clarifying grape musts and fruit juices due to undergo a fermenting or concentrating process. The system completely and rapidly separates the lees from the product. The grape must coming from the pressing line undergoes a pectolytic enzyme treatment that serves the purpose of reducing the viscosity of the mass by breading down the complex coloids that form in the grape juice. The product is saturated with gas until tiny bubbles form, which rapidly entrain the lees to the surface. The floatation unit is very compact and manageable and guarantees an economically advantageous processing action, also because the product does not need to be delivered to the EcoFlot unit at any particular temperature.
