Made from standard cold rolled steel, a reliable protection against corrosion and a high level of cleanliness become challenging when it comes to extra demanding environments. With long-term outside storage in harsh weather conditions, storing close to the seaside or filling goods demanding the highest level of cleanliness, corrosion protection combined with excellent paint adhesion become key.
In close collaboration with one of its global supply chain partners MAUSER developed an approach for significantly better steel drum protection – the new MAUSER-Steel-Drum-Protected (MSDP). By adopting an innovative surface treatment to the used base steel, MSDP steel drums provide better paint adhesion and protection against corrosion compared to drums produced from electro galvanized steel.
