One to several 5-gallon pails is typically enough material for testing purposes
Ultrasonics

Round separator is easily adapted to incorporate ultrasonic vibration technology
Ideal in the separation of very fine particles and preventing screen blinding for certain materials
GyraMax Gyratory Sifters

Ideal coarse separation for dry applications that require higher processing rates
Feasibility can be determined on the mini-GyraMax with a 5-gallon pail of material, or full-scale testing can be performed on the larger 3’x10’ GyraMax
Specially designed feed hopper and gravimetric/volumetric weigh-belt feeder allow for accurate and consistent feed of material to the machine
Lab unit is equipped with 2-decks, allowing for consecutive cuts to be made per run
Fraction outputs can be easily weighed, even when large quantities of material are processed, and particle size analyses are typically performed on the feed material and fractions of interest
Turbo-Screen Air Classifier

Provides continuous, precise screening for certain dry materials
Can handle difficult materials such as those with finer particle sizes (down to 70 microns), electrostatic materials, and materials that tend to agglomerate easily
Typically works well with very fine low abrasion powders
Works best as a scalping operation which allows for generous feed rates
Centrifugal Separation

Tool in evaluating the feasibility of centrifugal equipment for a given application
Used for wet applications only
Separates slurries according to the different densities of materials within the mixture, typically producing a two-phase solids/liquid separation
When used in conjunction with moisture analysis and particle size analysis equipment, the feed material can be compared to the effluent, or liquid portion, to determine the percentage and size range of solids removal achieved
