Description

Sharpening centre SSM restores the special cutting properties of customers' blades rapidly and conveniently even after intensive use in slicers – and does so with minimum material abrasion. SSM is a thoroughly sophisticated and completely active system. It can be used to sharpen both Weber involute blades with a radius of 365 mm to 485 mm as well as circular blade with a diameter of up to 470 mm.  The SSM scans the blade contour with an electronic sensor in a reference run. That eliminates the obligatory setup times, especially when sharpening blades of different types and sizes. The SSM's active system also gives blades back their sharpness far faster and more precisely. Where passive systems take up to 200 cycles before blades can be used in slicers again, SSM achieves optimal results in just a few cycles.
